Visited Klaten, Central Java

Andong ( a four wheeled carriage drawn by a horse) is a common vehicle in Klaten.

A woman who work in a paddy field is common in the village. Like you can see in this picture, she just visited her “ladang”/field to bring food for her husband and brought home corns to be sold.

Taking a rest after harvesting their paddy field. They usually eat together their lunch, even some share their lunch. This showing a pure heart from the villagers.

Bicycle is main vehicle in this village and it takes a very important role in some villagers economic life.

Indonesian government help a lot the villages in preparing infrastructure like this hot-mix-road. Hopefully, this will improve the villagers social-economic life.

We can find some traditional brick factories in Klaten. They  usually located among paddy field. Actually this will destroy paddy field ecosystem because people take the mud for their bricks. They forget that mud is very important for their paddy.

Not far from their paddy field, there is a village railway station, Srowot Station. It is a small station and only economic class train that stop by in this station. Anyway, this is part of the government program to support social economic life the people in Klaten, Central Java.
